This position is responsible for the evaluation and assessment of current and former foster young people to include strengthening their protective and promotive factors, developing and maintaining stable living situations (family-like setting), increasing employability, and increasing educational attainment. This position also provides services in a manner that is culturally responsive, strengths based and trauma informed. The CW Clinician also provides effective support to young people with regular supervision, guidance and direction.

Pay range: $23.11/hr - $30.23/hr

Essential Job Functions:

• Conducts an assessment utilizing the program specific protocol, including supplemental assessment tools, summarizes central issues, themes and agreements reached, develops initial service plan goals as identified by young person, assess structural functioning of individual in relationship to environment/milieu/family.
• Engages the young person and/or identified supports collaboratively in order to create priority goals for successful transition to adulthood.
• Builds rapport and credibility simultaneously with varying individuals, family members, populations, stakeholders, and community members. Relates to variety of individuals with professionalism, warmth, empathy, acceptance and humor.
• Develops and implements successful trauma informed interventions including identifying the method, collaboratively establish service plans that identify issues, goals and measurable objectives that are achievable in a reasonable period, interventions/strategies that address the assessment issues, and maintains timely progress notes that reflect movement towards goals/objectives.
• Provides effective trauma informed crisis management according to program guidelines.
• Conducts activities to promote clients understanding of the impact of trauma, treatment issues including medication, diagnosis, parenting skills.
• Establishes team commitment to common goals and an environment of mutual respect and understanding.
• Maintain accurate client records, completing case notes and supplemental documentation in accordance with established timelines, program and contract standards.
• Maintains professional boundaries and ethics specific to the agency and particular professional certification.
• Interacts professionally, clearly and in a timely manner with internal and external customers, other community professionals including staffing meetings, providing consultation or advocacy representing AzCA as a trauma informed agency.
• Participates in required program specific trainings and educational opportunities as required.
• May also provide crisis management, including assessing and providing appropriate responses, handling the situation calmly.

• Be available outside of normal business hours to provide client services.

• Ability to interact professionally with all staff and guests.
• Must be able to recognize and communicate with your supervisor to address self-care needs in order to effectively maintain all job duties.
• Ability to work in a variety of environments to include but not limited to in/outdoors with various obstacles, stairs and unknown conditions.
• Must be able to physically demonstrate competency in the following areas: operate transport vehicles as needed (unless declared a non-driver).
• Able to operate common office equipment and be proficient with electronic health records, calendaring, word processing and other needed computer and electronic device skills.

Minimum Qualification & Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age (licensing requirement).
• Possess a valid Arizona driver's license and be insurable under the agency's automobile policy.
• Must be able to provide own transportation to and from clients' homes and/or other relevant organizations/agencies

• Must be able to provide DPS fingerprint clearance.
• Must be able to meet training and agency compliance requirements for the position.

Minimum Education & Experience:

• Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Behavioral Health, Education or related field of study from an accredited college or university. Additional Master's Degrees are acceptable with contract specific approval if the applicant has at least five years' experience working with youth in systems of care.
