Navigator Team Lead

Position Summary:

The Navigator Team Lead provides support and services to assist current and former foster young people in strengthening their protective and promotive factors, developing and maintaining stable living situations (family-like setting), increasing employability, and increasing educational attainment. Additionally, the Navigator Team Lead provides administrative support to the Program Administrator.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Maintain a condensed caseload of clients, keeping contact with young persons, supportive connections and community partners to assist in the development and progress towards the young person's identified priority needs, per contractual service requirements.
  • Collaborate with young persons to develop individual priority goals utilizing the Youth Thrive Framework.
  • Effectively and collaboratively monitor young person's transition to adulthood, providing support and resources in alignment with the priority needs to the young person and their team
  • Lead, organize, and facilitate group trainings and educational meetings as required.
  • Develop and facilitate trainings and workshops to support young people transitioning to adulthood. Maintain accurate client records, completing case notes and supplemental documentation in accordance with established timelines, program and contract standards.
  • Complete and provide required monthly, quarterly and annual data reports in accordance with established program and contract standards. Assists Program Administrator with tracking data and billing.
  • Assist Program Administrator with onboarding new staff, including developing their training schedule. Will be primary support for new hire onboarding.
  • Meet with Navigators regularly to provide coaching and be a resource to Navigator staff as needed for crisis/urgent situations.
  • Assist Navigators with purchasing of needed items, with Program Administrator oversight

Minimum Education & Experience:

  • Current or former Arizona's Children Association Navigator.
  • Bachelor's Degree and 3 years related experience OR
  • Master's degree and less than 3 years of related experience.
  • Related experience includes working with young people ages 14-21 who are involved in systems of care, which may include foster care, juvenile justice, runaway and homeless youth programs.
  • Relevant Degree includes the following degrees: Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, Counseling and Child Development. Other degrees may be considered with at least 20 Credit hours from an accredited university in the previously referenced degree specialty.

Minimum Qualification & Requirements:

  • Must be 21 years of age (licensing requirement).
  • Possess a valid Arizona driver's license and be insurable under the agency's automobile policy.
  • Must be able to provide own transportation to and from clients' homes and/or other relevant organizations/agencies
  • Must be able to provide DPS fingerprint clearance.
  • Must be able to meet training and agency compliance requirements for the position.
